Erick Tan: Freelance Photographer, Why Not?

Padang 19/9 — When photography is your passion, deciding to become a freelance photographer may seems like a piece of cake. There’s nothing better than turning your hobbies into a paid job, and almost everyone agrees with that. The same thing also happened to one of aspiring freelance photographer from Surabaya, Erick Tan.

Erick began his career since he was still in Senior High School. Since then, he has become more increasingly addicted to photographic things.

He used to be a general photographer, but now he also works as a freelance photographer. The marketing method he used is by publishing all of his works through his social media account, Instagram, with username @ericktan007.

“I love traveling, socializing, and meeting someone new so I can learn something meaningful from them. That’s why I love captured every memorable moments,” he says. “And also, through my experience from traveling, I can be a more grateful person.”

He also admitted that there are so many likes and sorrows from being a photographer, whether it's the pleasure he get when traveling, or facing the situation when it’s so difficult to get a call from clients.

“Right now I’m about to launch my next big project related to fashion. The marketing techniques also through social medias,” says Erick. “Just wait for it.”
