Meet 18-Year-Old Fashion Design Student of LaSalle College, Rafa Yasmin
Padang, 29/8 — If you ever considered being a fashion design
student to pursue a career in fashion, it is not as easy as you think. All of
design students must have experienced facing the depression when it comes to
the big project, dealing with the deadline, and having a problem with a sleep
schedule. This case also happened to one of LaSalle College fashion design
student, Rafa Yasmin.

Rafa said, “By being a fashion design student, I can learn
how to appreciate all kind of clothes, especially the expensive one. It is
certainly tough though, but I love it! I feel like I can express my feeling
here, LaSalle is just the right place for me.”
Recently, she just made a gorgeous dress for one of her big
project, Bustier Dress Project. The total money
that has spent for making the dress is 730.000 Rupiah.

“I spent around 200.000 Rupiah for the prototype, 400.000 Rupiah for the fabric materials, 150.000 Rupiah for the furing, and the rest is for the other thing,” says Rafa, who does her project with sleepless night. “I’m very satisfied with the result!”

“The best part of being a fashion design student is the excitement when I already completing any new projects. I can express my own feeling. I can wear what I want everyday and be the real me without worrying what everybody said,” she said. “Design College respects our lifestyle choice.”
What an interesting info! I was ever interested in fashion too, but I'm giving up on it cause I realize that it's not my passion. Hope she'll receive her dream and we gain our capability on journalistic problem
